Billy from Grand Looks Construction is several notches above any contractor I have ever worked with. Not only did he do a perfect job installing my kitchen cabinets, he is a “jack of all trades” in every area of construction. From installing new pieces of wood flooring to accommodate a change in island location, to creating custom molding to cover up an uneven wall, to building custom roll out shelves in a pantry closet – Billy is your guy – there is nothing he can’t do. He bends over backwards to make sure that your kitchen is perfect and that you are pleased with his work. I highly recommend Billy – he is talented, professional and a super great guy to work with. "I have been in or around real estate-related fields for more than 30 years and as a consumer of these services I have never worked with a more competent and reliable group of professionals in my life.
Living through a gut rehab of your residence while you are there is very stressful and sometimes difficult. Most contractors are asking for advances and quite often
“go-dark” halfway through the job. Going dark is the point at which the contractor has been paid just enough money to enable them to start another job and put your job on hold.
Then there are the add-ons by the contractors for “field conditions”. Like it or not, quite often contractors don’t know the structural condition of a home or the condition of the plumbing, wiring or leaking inside the home until they’ve actually done the demolition work and can see the condition of pipes, outlets or plumbing.
So with that background and experience (mostly bad) we reluctantly listened to the advice of our interior designer who brought in the Dream Team.
In short, in my 30 years experience, hiring Grand Looks Construction for my major rehab was the best decision I’ve ever made regarding home renovation and construction.
From negotiating the scope of services to the last payment, Billy and his team stood behind their work. There were no hidden charges. There were field conditions. The minute a field condition arose, Billy immediately told me about it and gave me 2 or 3 differently priced options. He didn’t create the field conditions.
Billy and his team showed up on time, every day (6 days a week) and were as professional a team as I’ve ever worked with. They kept our home clean throughout the process and did everything to minimize tracking dirt throughout the house. Any time they needed to sand an area, they would create a “partition” to close off the room so that sawdust and other material wouldn’t become airborne.
They did everything in their power to minimize the stress associated with home renovations. Most importantly they completed the job on time and within budget. There was no “bait and switch”.
